CrushOn is where a lot of people landed when Character.AI started saying no. It's one of the biggest NSFW character-chat sites going, with over a billion messages a month flying about and a community library deep enough to lose a weekend in. Build your own character from a simple form, or pick one of thousands someone else has written.
The clever bit is choice. Paid plans let you switch between several AI models, so if one gets repetitive you can swap brains mid-story. Well-written bots are properly immersive. Weaker ones get samey fast, which is the usual community-library lottery. Memory and chat history grow with each tier.
The rules are sensible on paper. Characters have to be adults and real photos of celebrities or people you know aren't allowed. Privacy is the sore spot, though. Mozilla's privacy review gave it its worst rating, so don't hand it anything personal.
Pricing climbs in clear steps. Free gets you 100 messages a month, Standard is $5.99 for 2,000, Premium is $14.99 for 6,000 faster ones, and Deluxe is $49.99 for unlimited. Annual billing knocks off about 30%.
